Prosper Cashew joins forces with Olam food ingredients (ofi)

On August 22nd Prosper Cashew and Olam Food Ingredients (ofi), a global leader in natural and sustainable food and beverage ingredients, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Olam’s office in Abidjan.

The MoU lays the foundations for planned collaboration on projects aimed at strengthening the sustainability of the local cashew processing industry. Prosper Cashew’s Chief of Party, Krishanu Chakravarty, expressed his enthusiasm in partnering with ofi “We are a non-profit organization, but our approach is centered on harnessing the power of the private sector to address global poverty. Business Orientation is a part of our organizational DNA which we are proud of. This collaboration is a great opportunity for our two great organizations to come together to make an impact in the Cashew processing landscape.” With the signing of this MoU signing, ofi demonstrates its desire to stimulate the cashew industry value chain by partnering with TechnoServe’s Prosper Cashew project. The partnership will pave the way for key innovative projects that will contribute to improving traceability and transparency in the cashew supply chain, but also to support local communities and strengthen waste management for a more sustainable industry.
