Divyangana “Divy” Kumar, Global Food Industry Leader, Joins TechnoServe’s Board of Directors

Kumar brings global experience in the food and agriculture sector to international nonprofit tackling global poverty.

Arlington, VA  (May 9, 2024)TechnoServe is proud to announce the appointment of Divyangana “Divy” Kumar to our board of directors. The appointment follows a successful vote held at the board’s meeting on March 12, 2024.

“As a business leader and mother, I am driven by a deep sense of urgency to address the systemic challenges our world confronts – climate, inequality, hunger and so much more,” said Kumar. “I am excited to work with TechnoServe to create a better world for farmers and the people they feed around the world.”

Since 2022, Kumar has served as managing director of Cargill’s Foodservice business in North America, where she manages product portfolio development and offerings to more than one hundred top customers in the foodservice industry.

She previously held roles in Cargill’s other food businesses as the global strategic pricing director and in the company’s corporate strategy and development team as an internal consultant to businesses on strategy development and mergers & acquisitions for Cargill.

In 2015, Kumar was given a top business award for her business performance, work ethic, and ability to deliver on projects across the globe. At the start of her career, she worked for Aditya Birla Group (ABG), a $65 billion multinational Fortune 500 Indian conglomerate. She held multiple managerial positions and led a cross-functional team in operations and supply chain.

Kumar earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Indian School of Business and an undergraduate engineering and technology degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Bangalore, India.
