Charity Navigator Gives TechnoServe Four Stars, Lauds Nonprofit’s Impact
TechnoServe “exceeds or meets best practices and industry standards” to earn Charity Navigator’s top rating
Arlington, VA — International nonprofit TechnoServe has earned Charity Navigator’s top four-star rating, based on factors such as accountability, transparency, and financial performance.
TechnoServe’s four-star rating indicates that the international development organization “exceeds or meets best practices and industry standards across almost all areas” and is “[l]ikely to be a highly effective charity.” In addition to the top overall rating, TechnoServe scored 100% on the Impact & Results and Leadership & Adaptability criteria.
In 2021, TechnoServe worked with 407,000 direct beneficiaries, 41% of whom were women, providing more than $250 million in financial benefits and helping transform millions of lives. For every $1 invested in TechnoServe’s programs, beneficiaries gain an average of $3.91 more income.
“We are proud to receive Charity Navigator’s highest rating–and especially to score 100% on its new Impact & Results criteria,” said TechnoServe President and CEO William Warshauer. “We take impact very seriously. Every day, TechnoServe’s staff honor our mission by ensuring that every donation we receive goes toward helping enterprising people around the world sustainably improve their livelihoods and lift themselves, their families, and their communities out of poverty.”
