Strengthening Food Security for Rural Families in India
As part of its global signature cause program, Breakfasts for Better Days, the Kellogg Company is partnering with TechnoServe to build a more sustainable and secure food future for smallholder farmers in Madhya Pradesh, India. By providing training to improve yields for farming businesses and by working with women from farming households to implement kitchen gardens, the partnership is increasing incomes and access to nutritious foods for rural families.
TechnoServe has partnered with Walmart Foundation to launch a two-year Sustainable Livelihoods Program for smallholder farmers to transform 25 to 30 farmer producer organizations in Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
TechnoServe, in partnership with Visa Inc. is implementing a program in the Khargone and Bharwani districts of Madhya Pradesh to improve the livelihoods of rural families by advancing women’s leadership in farmer producer organizations.
TechnoServe is demonstrating and refining scalable actions for inclusive, sustainable growth and competitiveness of the Guar market system in India.
Feed the Future India-Africa Agriculture and Natural Resource Management Innovation Sharing Platform was a unique South-South collaboration that aimed to build, demonstrate and test a scalable model of transferring agricultural innovations from India to Africa.
The Women's Advancement in Rural Development and Agriculture program provides technical assistance to producer groups and facilitates producer group formation with the aim of empowering rural women and improving their lives and communities.
TechnoServe is working with Goldman Sachs on a pilot project aimed at creating and improving Access to Finance (A2F) for small women entrepreneurs, engaged in agricultural and allied businesses in India.
