Improving the Business Development Services Industry

Business development services play an important role in supporting entrepreneurship, which is critical to driving job creation and economic growth in Haiti.

TechnoServe, the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Haiti, the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, and the Inter‐American Development Bank partnered to promote the growth of the country’s business development services industry in order to increase investment, productivity, and job creation in micro-, small- and medium-enterprises (MSMEs). The project identified eligible MSMEs in value chains with high growth potential, providing them with technical assistance and advisory services. The project strengthened participating enterprises’ management and improve their technical and commercial capacities, repayment capacity, and access to credit.
