The WIN program and content producer Anima have signed a partnership agreement with the aim of co-producing a radio drama aimed at community radio stations, especially in the central and northern regions of Mozambique. The partnership, which will last just over a year, provides for the production and broadcast of the radio soap opera, which will follow the complete agricultural cycle, offering essential information for each phase, with a focus on a rural audience.
The main aim of the radio soap is to promote changes that boost production and productivity, helping thousands of women and small-scale farmers to become more resilient to climate change, as well as empowering them financially and raising their awareness of gender issues.

The radio soap will address issues central to the lives of rural communities, such as climate-smart agriculture, sustainable farming practices, conflict mitigation, business management, financial literacy and social and gender norms. This approach aims to strengthen communities in the face of climate change, improve agricultural management and deepen understanding of the role of women in society. This intervention is expected to impact 40,000 smallholder farmers, with 3,600 being directly empowered economically, including 1,200 young women. It is also expected that 300 women will change their perception of the female role in society, and that 1,600 smallholder farmers will become more resilient to climate change.

The parties involved understand that this is an important step towards the empowerment of rural women and sustainable development, promoting profound changes in production practices, agricultural management and in the way climate challenges are faced by these communities.
