The WIN program and content producer Anima have signed a partnership agreement with the aim of co-producing a radio drama for community radio stations, especially in the central and northern regions of Mozambique. The partnership, which will last just over a year, is intended for the production and broadcast of the radio drama, which will follow the complete agricultural cycle, offering essential information for each phase, with a focus on a rural audience.

The main aim of the radio drama is to promote changes that boost production and productivity, helping thousands of women and small-scale farmers to become more resilient to climate change, as well as empowering them financially and raising their awareness of gender issues as well as the conflict in the North.

The radio drama will address issues central to the lives of rural communities, such as climate-smart agriculture, sustainable farming practices, insurgency/conflict mitigation, business management, financial literacy and social and gender norms. This approach aims to strengthen communities in the face of climate change, improve agricultural management and deepen understanding of the role of women in society.

The parties involved understand that this is an important step towards the empowerment of rural women and sustainable development, promoting profound changes in production practices, agricultural management and in the way climate challenges are faced by these communities.
