Women IN Business signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Gapi
WIN and Gapi signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will run until September 2025. This Memorandum aims to improve women’s participation in promoting the local economy. The two entities’ efforts include sharing WIN program’s gender tools, as well as providing gender training, carrying out gender analysis and developing gender policies.
The Memorandum also aims to improve Gapi’s gender policy and procedures to ensure gender balance in its interventions, with a view to having a significant impact on the market, guaranteeing the continued implementation of the gender-inclusive tools and business models developed by WIN. The programs implemented by Gapi with a gender perspective will ensure the empowerment of more low-income women.
Gapi is a development finance institution that provides financial and non-financial services, focusing on low-income segments, especially in rural areas. It promotes financial inclusion through its network of delegations and microfinance entities.
