As Chief Human Capital Officer, Shawn oversees TechnoServe’s approach to employee engagement and development—to help make TechnoServe the best place for each employee to fully contribute and grow.   He also oversees recruiting, compensation and benefits, HR compliance, HR systems, and employee relations.

Over the course of a 25-year career in international human resources, Shawn has held senior positions both in nonprofit organizations and in the private sector. Prior to TechnoServe, Shawn headed up HR at Catholic Relief Services, Save the Children, Pact, and Abt Associates; he also held international operations roles in for-profit technology firms.  Shawn is active in the HR community, including a stint as the Strategy Chair for the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and an instructor at Georgetown and Catholic Universities.   Shawn holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina and an MA and BA degrees from the University of Colorado.
