Rachel Hines is a former Managing Director at J.P.Morgan where she ran the Emerging Markets Capital Markets group. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Rachel worked at the World Bank and at the U.S. Agency for International Development in Harare, Zimbabwe. She is currently an investor in women-founded ventures through Plum Alley Investments, the Managing Partner of MRH Capital, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is on the Board of LaGuardia Community College, a leading 2 year college for workforce training as a pathway out of poverty. She is a former Trustee of Sesame Workshop where she chaired the Investment and Finance committees, and Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, where she was Treasurer.
Rachel has an MBA from Yale University and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. Rachel is also a founding member of the AllinBklyn giving circle in Brooklyn, where she resides with her husband, Michael Cembalest, and their three boys.
