Country Director, Nigeria

Mrs. Adesuwa Akinboro joined TechnoServe as the Country Director for Nigeria on August 1, 2022.

Adesuwa has over 24 years of progressively responsible experience in both the private sector (13 years) and international development (11 years) across East and West Africa (including twelve years of multi-country experience – in Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, and Malawi) before returning to Nigeria in 2013. She has experience in consulting, business development, program development, partner engagement, and program management, as well as working closely with donors and developing new programs to tackle poverty. Before joining TechnoServe, Adesuwa was the Deputy Director, Program Development and Quality and Head of Business Development at Save the Children (Abuja, Nigeria); where she was responsible for portfolio growth, strategic planning, program development, overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning (MEAL) department, and other strategic initiatives. Adesuwa has an MBA (master’s in international business administration) from the United States International University (USIU) in Nairobi, Kenya, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria.
