Honduras, the second poorest country in Central America, continues to experience high rates of population growth, infant mortality, child malnutrition and illiteracy.

75% of the rural population lives below the poverty line. Since 2003, TechnoServe has been supporting agricultural projects that increase rural incomes and enhance food security by improving agricultural productivity, supporting agribusiness development and expanding availability of financial services. TechnoServe is also supporting entrepreneurship development in several key sectors.
